IU pushing Sampson out of the door
Indiana University was to announce their decision on Kelvin Sampson at 2 p.m.. According to ESPN’s And Katz in a televised interview, the university is more than likely going to suspend Sampson without pay for the remainder of the season. The decision is being pushed back because IU is reviewing all considerations as to who to elevate to the interim job of head coach. Katz said that the pervasive thought was that Dan Dakich would take over the IU job, but that is no necessarily true because there are other assistant coaches on the staff with head coaching experience, especially Ray McCallum.
Katz says the rumored threat of a mutiny is not true.
